METROPLAN ORLANDO TEAMS WITH KMDG AND AEON BLU FOR WEBSITE REDEVELOPMENT EFFORT TO INCREASE PUBLIC ACCESS AND INVOLVEMENT IN THE PLANNING PROCESS
ORLANDO, FL – METROPLAN ORLANDO is undertaking a complete website redevelopment with KMDG and Aeon Blu. Following a comprehensive review process, both local companies were selected for their unique ability to design and implement a website that best serves the needs of the transportation planning organization.
“This effort is all about increasing public involvement for citizens, particularly when work schedules and family demands make it difficult to attend board meetings and events,” said Kelley Teague, director of public affairs and government relations for METROPLAN ORLANDO. “The opportunity to incorporate the latest online communication tools in a way that also reduces costs associated with distributing information is a win/win.”
The new site will improve functionality, organization of information, and interactive options, while also providing expanded library storage and enhanced ADA features. Management of the website will ultimately be handled by METROPLAN ORLANDO through a user-friendly system developed as part of the project. This content management system will allow METROPLAN ORLANDO staff instant access to make modifications throughout the site to reflect current news and information.
“We’re very excited to be teaming-up with Aeon Blu. Their expertise in developing web applications and content management systems is a perfect compliment to our design approach and goals for the website,” noted Sarah Morgan, commercial lead and partner for KMDG.
The redeveloped website is scheduled to debut in Fall 2010.

CMF Media approached KMDG with an idea for a new nonprofit media venture. After looking at several other organizations, KMDG was selected to develop the brand for the new venture. The objective was to create a unique site that was easy to read, easy to update, and easy to manage for the fledgling organization. After the meticulous development of the brand, KMDG designed and programmed the site using WordPress and several of the available plug-ins.

Residential Loan Assistance's fast track website development and
execution was a project perfectly suited to KMDG’s unique combination
of talents. The objective was to create a user-friendly site with big
pictures; warm, neutral colors; easy to read text; and lots of helpful
information, such as the glossary. The wealth of information
necessitated a surgical approach; KMDG restructured the site to
accommodate all of the pages without sacrificing functionality. The
entire site was programmed in HTML and CSS with JavaScript. KMDG
populated each page with content and created a rotating flash script
for the home page. The project was executed within three weeks of initial contact.
